Duty Finder Que skipping

So I'm a very new player, in fact I just unlocked the Duty Finder for Sastasha. The way I understand it to work is, you click on the box to highlight and select join to be placed in a que, problem is it's skipping and that part and jumping to the start countdown and forcing me to solo the dungeon. Any thoughts on this anyone?

Welcome to FFXIV!
Just uncheck the "Undersized Party" option in the Duty Finder Settings.

One reason that can happen:
On the upper left of the window is a gear. If you have undersized party checked then you are telling the system you want to go in with less people.
When you are higher level that's how you can solo a dungeon.
