We got BLU balls

So SE is released a "job" that's already dead on arrival, absolutely useless to the game, waste of time and resources because the can't be bothered to balance them.

This is my favourite job in the whole of FFXIV and already you made me angry considering the disservice you been doing to other jobs as well. But Blue Mage is my last straw. You turned a job into a Eureka grind! SE you don't get the player base, you restrict BLU already so they don't invade PF, they can barely do any content. What next, a tank that can't tank? A weapon that deals no damage?

The whole of FFXIV is built around raiding and doing relevant content and battles. By denying BLU you already make the job useless, to the point you should of made something else. Do you hate the community that much, and much like recently contempt them? Like Greed only raids which no one asked for? SE look hard at yourselves.

To start I'd like to say I'm disappointed in the BLU concept that we are getting but, I'm upset with the reasons they gave for going this route.

The reason of "Oh, you don't have this <BLU spell>. -kicked from party-" isn't really a reason, to me at least. This is because there is nothing stopping me from not doing my class/job quests to unlock abilities from said quests, as well as, nothing stopping me from queuing for a duty without my soulstone equipped. The count of abilities from quests, for a 1-70 job/class, off the top of my head I think is around 13 too. Both of those can result in a similar situation in DF.

The second reason of "spells like Level 5 Death would be to strong and we can't just make everything immune to it" is also non sense to me. There's 2 things that can be done. First, that's why there is a thing could balancing, you know the thing they are already doing with all of the other jobs. Second, which is the much easier option to go with, simply don't give it to BLU. If not having stupid OP spells is the price I pay to have a fully playable job its fine. I don't think anyone that really wanted BLU was ever expecting to get spells like Level 5 Death anyways.

If they just came out and said they wanted to try making a new system for jobs rather then saying oh its a new job, when in reality its like half a job, I wouldn't be upset, just disappointed.

I actually think they grew some balls for going this direction...i am looking forward to trying it out. The jobs we have now are really bad we all do the same thing just a different name. A BLM should have a vast variety of spells not fire and ice...this opens up lots of opportunity to take away from the normal rotational button bashing we have.

If you think that a Black Mage plays exactly the same as a tank, healer or melee DPS, or even the same as another caster like a Summoner, I don't know what to tell you except that I disagree in the strongest way possible.

The jobs all feel distinct to me, aside from melee jobs using a similar 1-2-3 combo system. But the casters all have very different priority systems.

If you feel this style of gameplay is bad, it may be worth looking into other games, because there is a good chance this game is fundamentally not for you.

Yep, screw this Limited Job crap. I am showing that I do not support this content and I won't touch it.

I have played this game for almost 8 years i was here when they switched the first server on. The game had lots of bugs but i felt it had lots of potential with different skills and spells.
I mained Archer in the beginning i used to have make arrows they knocked that on the head. I played Lancer it was fun but nobody wanted lancer everyone wanted a Dragoon. I then changed to BLM while fun it is just a switch between two spells.

In FFXI you had lots of spells and skills.What i am trying to say is that the game feels very button bashy and not time to think or experiment with spells and skills. I play the game for the story and the hope that one day it may add new ideas. I will stay because of the world and work i have put in over the years. I think people should give it a chance and see how it pans out.

They sure as heck made every boss immune to Fluid Aura, Repose, Sleep, and a host of other spells. . .

Is their an early access to BLU I don't know about?

With the amount of threads complaining ad nauseam about the gameplay and concept of BLU, I coulda sworn that players had already leveled theirs to 50, learned all 49 skills, and cleared the arena multiple times.

Where is this early access code to BLU? Can I have it too? I wanna rant about how much it fails but haven't had hands on yet.
