New data centers

They adding a new data center for the NA and EU and will reshuffle the old worlds.

But with the redistribution of worlds that will mean I won't be able to play with certain friends anymore if our worlds are not on the same data center.

Please don’t shift Midgardsormr to the new DC. :(

On that topic, would it bother you if everyone affected was offered a free world transfer?

I'm not entirely sure how I feel about being shuffled around, but my hope from this announcement is that they're finally fixing some of their server issues to be able to handle the added strain.

Yeah, because we have friends that aren't in the static that have friends on our home servers, and they have friends, and so on. Either way people are going to have to be abandoned if we go that route.
My FC is pretty much made up of transfers to balmung, and saying "lol jk you wasted your money" freaking sucks
Not to mention that most of us have houses that we won in the housing wars that we'd have to give up.
Being uprooted is not a solution to SE's poor foresight when it comes to server demands.

From what it sounded like they're going to be offering free world transfers to people so they can stay with their friends.
