Where to advertise for statics.

Hello all.

I started a static recently, but am a bit stumped on where to advertise for it. I am only aware of two places:

SQEX forums (useless because it's world-locked).
FFXIVrecruitment subreddit (useful, but it's only one option, and only reaches about 13000 players, I believe)

I'm looking to reach a larger portion of the playerbase, and am not sure what to do. I had considered posting a PF while AFK, but was under the impression that was against the rules. Advertising word-of-mouth in-game would usually be a good idea, but with this particular group, I'd rather avoid the tension that comes with personally inviting players I don't know very well if possible, as it can lead to soured relationships if they get rejected based on their application results.

Basically, I want people to read the recruitment thread, and only apply based on that. This process naturally weeds out the people who don't know what they're actually applying for, rather than having me try to guess if they'd be interested or not, then reject them when it turns out I'm wrong and hurt their feelings.

Maybe naive of me to hope to dodge this particular downside of management positions, but any suggestions for more forums where I can post it?

There are several discords for recruiting.

The Discord channels Gayorzea and Primal work for getting a sub for my static, and I also used one of them to get a permanent member.

You can use the PF, its not against any rules to recruit for a static there - if you want to be extra sure, you can use the "Other"-section but obviously that gets less trafic than the ones for actual content. You can still use those to recruit though - some people are advocating for those kind of thing being not allowed anymore, but that alone should show you that it currently is.

So best way to go about it is probably to set up a PF, stating what excatly you're looking for and leaving your discord-info if you want to afk while having it up.

We used party finder, reddit and the Balance discord to recruit.
