At the end of a season, is it possible for the top 100 boards to be moderated?
It's very evident to the PVP community that whenever there's a new season, there's an influx of what we colloquially refer to as 'Boosters'. I don't know what the internal term for this is, but boosting as the community refers to it is where a player (Most of the time, someone who doesn't PVP) pays another player (RMTs someone who is good at PVP) to get them on the top 100 leader board (Again, by usually getting them into diamond which has been top 100 on all Data centres so far).
In addition to this we are seeing more and more accounts win trade (where two players will que into each other, orchestrating one to win and one to lose in order for one to climb the leader board) which has resulted in action - so we think of course.
I don't know how the task force checks accounts if they are being piloted by another player and I'm certain they don't want to reveal how, but no matter how demanding and expensive the process may be, I think it's time the boards began to be moderated.
There are people who have boosted and have continued to do so for multiple seasons, with no precedent in sight of action being taken on these players.
On my Data centre we are seeing more and more 'new' players being healing gods, right out of the gate and something like this is too anecdotal to even warrant a report directly to the task force.
Even if it was just the top half of the board, I think the community needs to start having the leaderboard moderated and checked for evidence of pilots and boosters.
This will change the broad perspective of PVP in which people already think this problem is bigger than what it is, it will give old jaded 'veterans' of the mode more reason to come back it will also give a little more faith to those playing now who simply have to put up with this. It will also dissuade future boosters and wintraders from even attempting it.
