Sound Issue - Gear Sets

Hi,

I'm playing on a PS4 so don't really have much in way of technical specifications to report. I'm hitting an odd issue:

Often when I switch gear sets (Open Character | Select Gear Sets | Double click a set), the sound effect oftentimes doesn't play, or plays and gets cut off or fades; like only a part plays. My connections seems stable, not noticing much lag and all other audio seems fine.

Can you check if there is a bug with gear sets audio? Or perhaps something else is going on (another sound cuts it off or makes it fade). It's a little thing, but kind of driving me crazy, I want to know that the set change worked especially when done during the Duty Finder countdown :-)

Also noticed that the message ex: "RDM (555) equipped" shows up and vanishes really slowly. So if I change sets say 10 times (for testing) the messages will continue for several seconds thereafter. That may be completely normal, but figured I'd mention it.

EDIT: One thought. Perhaps it is a volume thing where other sounds take precedence over this effect and thus fade/mute it. May be normal behavior, anyone who has played awhile, let me know! :-)

Hi, thanks for the fast response. The sound issue does not occur anywhere else. Only the effect when switching gear sets. All other audio appears fine both effects and background music. I can't imagine its due to lag/latency, I typically don't have an issue with that; and it happens completely and utterly at random. Not sure it ever happened when I was in a fully quiet place, so am still wondering if its intended behavior and the sound gets cut/faded for other sounds, I have no idea! :-)

Edit: I can probably post a Youtube video of it if you'd like. Next time it happens I'll try and capture.

Yes, the sound does get faded out for other noises in game. If you would like to provide a Youtube video that is fine but it is not needed.

Thanks for clarifying. I've been trying to capture video of it and well, I'm fairly bad at that! I did notice it'll do one of three things:

1. Play normal (that metallic woosh sound).
2. Play kind of stunted. (could also be fading).
3. Be completely silent.

I had just teleported into Limsa Lominsa and changed gear sets and it was dead silent. So I'm guessing it does all of that based on what's happening around. I won't worry about it, thanks for checking!
