Should I wait for the i390 or keep getting tome gear?

Curious ifnI should wait 2 more weeks for the BRD i390 or keep building tome gear. I don't know if it's worth it to wait for the bow?

Unless you're able to upgrade the tome Bow to i400, it's actually inferior to Suzaku's due to it lacking Crit. I wouldn't bother with it until you've purchased everything else that is BRD bis. And even then...

What content do you want to do? Or rather: Are you doing Savage or not?

If you arent doing Savage... it doesnt really matter, to be honest.

So, if you arent raiding: Get the Suzaku-Bow and spend your tomes on something else. It has better substats - Crit and DH - and is only 5 ilvl lower than the Scaevan Magitek Bow. If you're not raiding you wont get the chance to upgrade that bow to ilvl400 and are probably better served with a bow that has nice substats and only loses out on 5 ilvl.
If you are raiding and have a shot at upgrading the Scaevan Bow in the near future, I'd save up for that - specially because you should have the tomestones anyways, considering that only the gloves, belt, shoes, earrings and rings are actually nice for bard.

The Suzaku bow is infinitely better than the tome bow and the crafted bow. So you should get it ASAP if you haven’t already.

While thats indeed correct, that wont be for a while... but I should have phrased that better: If they dont have the chance to upgrade that bow right now, they're way better off with the Suzaku-bow for bettter substats at only a 5-ilvl-loss.

Even then, the i400 weapon barely pulls ahead because of the lack of Crit on it; I'm personally not touching it with a ten-foot pole. BRD is the only job that will willingly sacrifice weapon damage in favor of Crit.

Keep your i385 bow and buy all your BiS items then. BTW, you should have bought all of them now (gloves, belt, feet, earrings, ring). Next week, you should have enough tomestones to get the i390 bow if you wish (I think it only makes sense once you have cleared O11S but have issues with DPS checks on O12S).

Exactly, by the time the next Ivalice raid allows you to trade in coins for the weapon upgrade item, it'll already be right on the cusp of the next expansion, so chances are you'll probably have O11S on farm by then if you stick with it and will have long since probably won the upgrade item anyway by that time. In the meantime, I expect the Suzaku weapon should be perfectly serviceable for your needs in the interim.
