Give floors 1-50 in PotD for Free.

Since PotD is old content, I have waited in que's as a healer/DPS/ and tank for floors 41-50 on alternate character trying to unlock HoH for over 40 minutes multiple times. I think its about time to just let players start at floor 51 in PotD for free without having to grind anymore in floors 1-50. OORRRR Force people queing at floor 51 or greater to join a persons que at lower lvl floors that have waited more than 30 minutes for a que.

I agree. There are several areas I think FF XIV could benefit from having account wide flags and this is one of them.

And there's not even a plot connection between them. Usually that's the reason to gate new content behind old content, like having to do Fractal normal to unlock Fractal hard in 4.2, but here while HoH is basically estern themed POTD with a few tweaks and up to level 70, there's no story connection from what I remember. It's kind of like if you had to do all of the ARR alliance raids to do Void Ark. On every character.

Honestly it feels like even the ability to have alts in this game was an afterthought.

The queue isnn't really the issue, it's having to do the 50 floors in the first place when you don't need them, and there's no story or gameplay need to justify it because floors 1-30 are plenty easy in HoH to get people who didn't do POTD used to the systems.

Those without the expansions can't progress beyond floor 40, so there is a purpose to those lower floors.
