We're counting down the days to Fan Festival 2018 in Las Vegas, which is a little over a month away! FFXIV Development Team veteran Michael-Christopher Koji Fox will be on hand this year to present yet another fun-filled panel offering behind the scenes insight into the creation of the ever-expanding world of Hydaelyn. He'll also be dedicating a portion of the panel to providing some of your most burning questions regarding the lore of FINAL FANTASY XIV!

In this thread, we'd like you to ask any lore-related questions you may have! We'll bring your queries to World Lore Creator Banri Oda and Koji Fox to discuss and deliberate, and answers will be revealed on stage at Fan Fest!

May we get some lore elaboration on the Auri Hotgo tribe, particularly when they were massacred by the Dotharl?

We have extensive background on Seekers from 26 tribes coming to Eorzea from Ilsabard during the Age of Endless Frost, but where do Keepers of the Moon come from and when did they first arrive in the Black Shroud? They didn't seem to be a part of Gelmorra.

I was hoping this would make it into the Lore Book, but can we get more background on Eorzea’s 40 Saints? We know of 17(?) saints so far, but we only know 5 of those Saints’ matching guildleve virtues.

Limsa Lominsa was said to be founded by Sea Wolves fleeing tyranny in Aerslaent, however, most of the Galadion’s named crew were Elezen / had Elezen sounding names (Guy La Thagran, Jean De Nevelle, La Noscea…). Why is this? Who were they?

I've always loved FFXIV's vibrant cast of NPC characters, many of which I'm sure have tons of stories and details that you've all had written for years, but we as players may not know about through quests alone, or can't make it to the lore books. Would the team ever consider creating more side story series like Tales from the Storm outside of the game's anniversary, or sidequests similar in nature to the Postmoogle series to reveal some of those stories?

What relationship does Merlwyb and Kan-E-Senna share? A lot of us are curious of time spent when all is well in Eorzea :D

Who was the last Ala Mhigan queen, the one Zenos mentions in his monologue at the Royal Menagerie? Erik tells us in the monk quests that she helped lead a resistance against Theodoric before she was caught and put to death - but what was her name, where did she come from, what was she like?

How does Dragoon's "Life of the Dragon" work lore-wise? Is it drawing on the power of Nidhogg's Eye as with other Azure Dragoon powers? How come we don't lose these powers after Nidhogg's eyes have been destroyed by Estinien after the events of Shinryu?

We learned from the Omega raid that Midgardsrmr hails from another planet called the Dragon-Star. This means that Hydalyn is not the only planet and since Hydaelyn was created by the separation of 2 gods (Zodiark/Hydaelyn) from the sea of aether, do other worlds have their own duality of gods in order to form?
