FINAL FANTASY XIV Has Stopped Working...

I keep seeing the message that's in this thread's title pop up whenever I'm playing. Re-installed twice, but getting that message just shortly after I log on. Had my computer for only half a year, but here are the specs (I don't OC).

Any ideas as to why I'd be getting this message?

Does it tend to happen when you're doing something specific or when you are in a specific region? For example, this issue error pops up for me with moderate frequency when I alt-tab to a different program or when I select 'Exit Game'.

Happens more often in Ul'dah, but even then I can stay connected w/ events and the ilk happening. I've afk'ed near the decorations w/o any problems.

Might be a file corruption issue.
Get a md5 filechecker (for example this one) and verify your files.

With that said, sometimes the game crashes when the server crashes. If you see a lot of players logging in after you relog then it's probably Ul'dah crashing (happened on Trabia a few times, and we are less populated than Besaid I believe)

I did a fresh reinstall and I got the same issue, but then I moved my character out of Ul'dah and managed stay connected. Ty both for the info :D

ok so this error appears randomly, and this time I cant even appear in the world. It starts loading where my character is and then stops. Now im gunna post my error report if anyone could tell me whats wrong i would love to know cuz this is happening on more then one of my Pcs. I have all drivers updated to the newest point as well as directx. My graphics cards can take them game, i have more then enough memory, nothing is overheating i just do not know what to do anymore.

Are you the OP on a different account, or a completely new person? The error details don't really say much, and if you're new, we'd need to see some PC stats (graphics card, OS, RAM, settings, etc.).

C:\Windows\AppPatch\AcXtrnal.DLL checks peripheral devices. So unplug all your USB, Bluetooth...etc etc devices until you find the culprit, is probably a good way to start debugging.

I doubt this is FFXIV's problem, but rather a driver issue somewhere.

Or perhaps Event Viewer might give you a clue where it is failing.

Not a new person, been playing on/off since Oct. 2010. Became more active back before 1.19 hit :D

And Antanias, is the game still regularly crashing out on you or it seems to have subsided for now?
