Since patch the last patch I noticed this character settings back up feature but cannot access it is there a reason like because I’m on entry sub or a fee in unaware of or is this. It live yet

Since patch the last patch I noticed this character settings back up feature but cannot access it is there a reason like because I’m on entry sub or a fee in unaware of or is this. It live yet
The path notes specifically stated that it's not yet available - the 'option' on the character login page is a placeholder for the future introduction of that function. So it's not yet available.
In the meantime if you're playing on PC you can back up your settings manually by going into the Final Fantasy XIV A Realm Reborn folder in My Documents/My Games, and copying the 'FFXIV.cfg' and 'FFXIVBoot.cfg' files to a safe location on your computer, and when you reinstall the game, simply overwrite those files' default versions with the backup.
I'm gonna guess that in 4.45 they will be available.
