90006 Crashing
Hello, ever since Patch 4.4 updated I have had constant crashing in the game. Generally it happens when I go into higher population areas or join a dungeon, raid or Trial. I have been having this issue since the patch was put out, I have frequented these forums in depth trying to solve the problem, checking my ISP, checking my Firewall and computer settings as well as my Internet settings, all have not solved the issue.
Further testing on my end has shown the same issue on the Siren server, which is in the Aether Data Center, however I have no issues when I log onto the Primal Data Center.
Server: Balmung
Platfor: PC
Type of connection: wireless (attempted Wired)
Other programs running while the game is playing (if any): sometimes google chrome (tried without it same result)
Frequency: all times, however morning is less frequent
Everything you have tried to resolve the issue: rebooting router/game/computer, made exceptions in the antivirus, updated graphics, updated firewall, reinstalled game fully, checked with ISP to allow ports open, cleaned and cleared Internet Explorer, tried Direct x 9 and 11, ran in Administrator settings.

Has it been like this for a lot of people in the past three to four weeks on Aether? Cuz it's been like that for me since the day 4.4 came out. This recent hotfix didn't do anything at all for me

Good morning and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.
I apologize for the delay in my response.
Generally, if you are having trouble with Aether, you will have issues with Primal as those are both North American Data Centers. When you logged into Primal, were you in the same locations or attempted the same raids or dungeons?
It's possible you may be routed differently to each data center and you are getting a problematic route only when going to Aether. I can't be sure of that, however.
First I'd suggest sticking with a wired connection if possible. It will make the connection more stable even if you are experiencing issues elsewhere. If you have to stay with a wireless connection, Keep the PC close to the router and remove anything in between it if you can.
I'd also suggest running the game in Windows 7 compatibility mode. Right click on the ffxivboot.exe file and select ‘Properties.’ Then select the ‘Compatibility’ tab and choose Windows 7.
Try changing your computer's DNS to 8.8.8.8 or 1.1.1.1.
Additionally, try doing a clean boot. Simply open the task manager and select the 'Start up' tab. Disable everything here and restart the PC. Avoid having any unnecessary programs open and turn off any devices that may be using the wifi at the same time if you are not using them.
We hope we can be of assistance in helping you enjoy the exciting world of Final Fantasy XIV!

Attempted the Windows 7 compatability as well as a wired versus wireless connection which did nothing, however I have not attempted to do the DNS change, attempting so now.
Attempted to login the past few days and have seen a drop in d/cing, however still bad lag and it is mostly in dungeons and raids now, that and high population areas only. Will update if this fixes my issue or not.

I have been having the same issues but I'm on Bryhildr, Primal, on PS4. Since yesterday everytime I try to log in the game crashes with the 90006 error, and then if I try to log back in it instantly gves me the 2002 error. I already lost two days of game time because of this, waiting a response on SE...

Changed my DNS to 1.1.1.1 as requested, which did nothing to help. The issue is fine when the server is light, however when everyone logs into the game I am constantly getting d/c'd. I have tested my connection and I am suffering no issues in connection, no spikes, exceptionally stable.
As for my locations in Primal, I go to the more heavily populated areas as best I can, however as I have no characters there I cannot fully do so to test in depth.

I keep getting disconnected from Aether and also getting the Lobby error messages.
I can play just fine on Elemental and EU worlds...
