So I was curious about what would happen after the MSQ in 4.4 to a certain NPC...

I didn't think he'd be removed due to his connection with the ARR Primal quests

That's actually pretty promising. I hope it means that NPC's won't be held hostage in regards to their status as a quest giver when it comes to injury and death moving forward. In fact, any quests tied to them could just be made available through the use of the Echo, touching an object they left behind to experience the quests that were not completed already.

Likely means he'll make a full recovery next patch.
What's one to do if they wanted to unlock Primal Focus now of all times?

I remember when HW came out, if you tried to blow your way through the story in order to get to HW, the MSQ would be blocked unless you finished certain hard/ex primal quests. I'm wondering if such a thing is going to happen again.

He's still there if you haven't done the primal quests. Did you really believe that they'd get rid of a quest giver? Honestly.

That’s even more interesting! And kind of “if you haven’t kept up with accepting quests, it’s your own fault the timeline broke”. (But now I wonder what happens if you finish all the quests at this point? (Though I assume the boring answer is that he just doesn’t appear *next* time you enter the area.)

But it does make it promising that you can’t assume “X is safe forever because they have quests to give you”.

Though it would still be unsettling if a character died and is *still* hanging around to give you quests. A very determined ghost?

I wouldn’t put it past Urianger to have worked out how to aetherially project himself from wherever his soul is trapped, but he could do with delivering some more important information to us in that case...

I wonder what his idle dialogue is if you complete all the quests now? Just not updated, or some kind of meta nod?

Without the quests there's no need for the time bubble to protect him?
