I eventually timed out, he just would not die. Found issue: Last flag attack he makes there's an arrow over at the edge of the circle where your companion goes - go there.

I have this problem to, seem like a really stupid bug that should of been fixed before this patch was pushed out

Happened to me aswell he decided not to trigger his axe attack causing nothing else that follows to happen.
Looks to me like he was using his regular axe attack when I passed the HP trigger for him to use the improved version.

I'm also having this problem- sadly restarting the event means you have to fight Sadu again, since there is not checkpoint. This is a nasty bug that should have been worked out before release.

Note that Misiah's fix doesn't always work as sometimes, the arrow never even shows. If you do not get the arrow on the ground and Hien saying that he will 'take care of this', you will need to restart the fight completely, either by timing out or dying.
