I don't think this is ever going to happen.
IOS & Android dominate the App market.
Microsoft is even stopping it's mobile versions. The only reason the Microsoft store is still here is because it's used for Windows (Desktop en tablet) en the Xbox too I believe?
And I do not think SE is going to want to make a desktop or tablet version either (even if they just could make 1 Microsoft store app and it would work on all windows devices with store support (given you have the required hardware / os versions of course)).
If you really do want to use the useless app and you don't have a IOS or Android device then you can just download an android emulator on your PC (there's multiple versions out there) and they are free and run the app on your emulator on your PC.
Trust me, it's not really gonna make a difference if you have it or no
Just for info the Microsoft store work on Windows 10 so the majority of pc player will get access to the app without the need of a tablet or a phone.
it's a big mistake from the dev to not release the app on the most obvious plateform !
Ok so let's say they release it on the store just for the PC, I mean is there any point if you can just go in to the game itself? I feel the idea behind the companion app is to use it on the go, and it kinda defeats the purpose if it's on PC as well.
Is that just me?
I have three Android device at home... i hate android device.. none of them work ! the microsoft store in addition of the ios/android will be great.
The idea is to use it on the go, the extra goodies are just little bonuses. And Windows Phone marketshare in Japan was at near enough 0% (a lot worse than it is even in places like the US which have horrible marketshare). SqEx are Japanese. You've got more chance of winning the jumbo cactpot 10 times on the trot with the same numbers each time than them releasing it for Windows devices. Hate to be that Debbie downer, but as someone who used WP for 4 years, I can tell you now it isn't happening. No matter how much you ask for it. If you can get say... 100'000'000 people who will use it daily on their Windows Phone if it released, as well as convincing Microsoft to unkill Windows Phone, then you might have a chance. Otherwise, just let the pipe dream go.
And yes, it has to be Windows Phone specifically, not a Windows 10 PC/laptop/tablet/Xbox One. It's designed for phones, that's the only device they'll look at when judging numbers.
Unless SE eliminates all fees of any kind from the Companion App, I won't be pleased with it. Money grubbing is money grubbing, and even if it were the best application on the planet, I wouldn't support it. Whether or not it's on the Windows Store is totally irrelevant.
