This is a feature i would love to be added for quality of life espically in raid savage. Had it before where we got to godka ready to start training and the tanks gear is broken cause they forgot repairs... i dont mind if it charges 2 or more matter per piece just to do it...it would be far more useful then the meld option now theres an npc.
I’d like to see something like this added. It would be perfect for groups that have members that don’t have crafters leveled so they can self-repair, especially if the repair gave the gear durability over 100%.
As an aside about the NPC melder, last I checked he couldn’t do advanced melds, which is why the Meld subcommand is still there. I don’t think that this has been changed, but I could be wrong; I meld my own gear rather than visit him.
same. the mention of the melder was more an econmy type thing. Seeing gear repair npc and degrading is meant somewhat punish dying like 1q had experiance loss and somewhat passively control the economy....hence why i dont mind it costing more d.matter either the player getting the repair can supply it so theyd have to buy it so there still paying an npc gil. or the person repairing is being generous and paying the so to speak fee. i think melding in arr did the same
Hmmm it would be nice perhaps outside of battles. Inside however it should stay exclusive to player. The only real benefit is that it doubles durability and it's not hard to level up doh as it is. Could do almost one full one in week with just a few hours a day.
I'd be in favor of this because I know there are people who level DoH just to be able to repair their gear and those people would quite likely stop doing that, which would make them more dependent on me for crafted stuff and more likely to give me money for it.
