I was entering a roulette when the game hit an unexpected error and now it will not let me login. This began after the PS4 Patch. Please help! Last time 2 days ago I had to reinstall the game for the same reason.

please help it's continuing to happen again
Good morning and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.
When does this happen exactly, upon log in, when selecting a character or while you are playing the game? Does it only happen on one specific character or all of them?
Does this occur if you change to DirectX 9 mode?
You might also want to update your graphics card drivers and close any unnecessary programs and overlays (Geforce Experience, Discord Overlay, etc.).
We hope we can be of assistance in helping you enjoy the exciting world of Final Fantasy XIV!
It happens when I enter an instance or a cutscene. If I queue for a dungeon and commence upon transition the game comes up with the error code above. This happens on my one character Eadric Tudoria - I have not played the other. I don't know how to change to directx 9.
I will make sure Geforce is closed. I play on PC so it happens when I don't have discord in a window. Also I just checked and Geforce Experience is not running. Something else is causing the issue. It happens daily and I have to uninstall the game and reinstall it each time. It will give me about a evening and then start again.
Thank you for the reply Eadric.
To change the DirectX version, click 'Config' on the Final Fantasy XIV launcher. There you will see and option for DirectX 11. Turn it to 'OFF' and it will change it to DirectX 9 mode when you start the game.
Were you able to try updating the graphics card drivers?
You may also want to try a clean boot. Simply open the task manager and select the 'Start up' Tab. Disable everything here and restart the PC.

Thank you - The game crashed again and I switched back to 9. I wouldn't have known how otherwise. I hope this is a permanent solution and I appreciate the time you took to help.
And as soon as I posted this it happened again. I switched to DX9 as recommended, updated drivers and Gcards
I can now no longer login at all. When I select my character and it begins to load after about 5 seconds it shuts down and gives me the above error code.
