Ticket Purchase Problem.

Hello, a group of friends and I will be attending the FFXIV fanfest in Paris. However, one of us (the person who purchased the tickets), had to move countries recently and is now living in Argentina, so he won't be able to attend.

Would it be possible to change his ticket's name so that another friend can come with us? Or is that ticket basically useless now.

I know the tickets are linked to a name to prevent scalpers from profiting. But the ticket, the plane and the hotel have already been paid and it would all go to waste. :(
