Psn updater??

First off, I had to pay $100 to add data to my hotspot THEN you guys made a mistake, took back all the download.
Not to mention this 30gb download is reading as 20. My game folder went from 67-90. Where is the rest of this data. And oh yeah, WHY IS THE FILE NOT UNDER 40GB? it's damn near 25% larger than is was previously...
Help me understand this

The game client will add the new data on top of the old data. Once you log in, it should delete the old installation. The file size should be reduced to around 30GB.

Please don't dismiss his claims. There is a problem with your Install option.

I can confirm that Audio at the Client (Prelude) is missing on my side too.
I have completed all the steps. Downloaded Update last week before it was taken away, downloaded it again this time (PSN version 7.06), installed it, and:

Game went from 67.25 GB to 56.21 GB.

Please fix both of these issues.
Client without Prelude =Game feeling dead.
I want my extra 22 GB to be freed. Please, do NOT make me delete the game and re-download it for the 4th time this year.

EDIT: I wanted to also add that I have already logged into the game, did some Mini Cactpot, played some Triple Triad, logged out, and the Install Size is still 56.21 GB.

I wasn't trying to dismiss anyone's claim. I was trying to explain how the update should work. We are still investigating both of the issues that you brought up, I just wanted to make sure the installation was working as it should be.

Was the use of the word "dismiss" offensive? I didn't mean to come off as aggressive.
Thanks for investigating these. If you need extra information I will be looking at these topics.

Yeah I just wanna stress that I wasn't and or am not incredibly upset, more or less confused as to what's going on. I am having trouble just looking for information on it.
But as long as you guys know somethin funky is goin on I'm good.

Yeah mines sitting ay 87.
I have 13gb from the first install lingering on my drive and now another 10 lol.
I just can't afford to renew my 40gb data plan this month lol.

I'm trying to verify whether you have the same issue as Spiroth. Can you check the storage option in the Settings menu of the PS4 and find Final Fantasy XIV. Then click the Options button on the FFXIV icon on the Home Screen and select 'Information.' Both of these should give you the install size, is there any discrepancy between them, or are they the same?

Next, can you go back to the 'Information' screen (by clicking the Options button on the Icon from the Home Screen) and click 'View' next to 'Installed Add-ons.' What do you see here? Do you see any duplicates?

It seemed to have fixed itself between rest mode and I turned off my ps4 yesterday too so there's that, but yeah I looked it's like 32gb now lol.

The PS4 likely needed to adjust itself and delete the old data. This thread will be moved to the 'Closed Concerns' subforum as the thread creator has found a resolution to their issue.
