What should I invest in my Elemental Codex?

I finally acquired my Pagos Relic (freedom at last!) but I'm debating on what to infuse it with. Koyoshu gave me a nice amount of spell speed but I'm not sure if a sch really has any need for it.

My current crit is 1509
and my ss is 1115

I'm leaning towards spell speed but would like to know what you guys think. What's the desired spell speed for a lvl 70 sch?

SS is not as good for SCH, because healing is mostly oGCD and damage is better with DH.

Avoid spell speed as much as possible. Always max out crit. Whether you meld Det/Dhit/Piety is based on your preferences, but all healers like to avoid Spell Speed, pretty much. It reduces your mana efficiency and they're the only role really impacted by that. Piety isn't that great either but it can be okay to have in certain situations that stress your MP more than others (such as res spam in 24mans).

Spell Speed in 3.x was the most powerful DPS stat for SCH, but did not benefit healing much because it did not affect embrace or OGCDS. With the removal of Bio and Aero, DoTs that could double dip the effects of Spell Speed have been made less important, shifting DPS to being mostly about broil uptime.

Crit is once again king and DH as a secondary option for a flat DPS increase. Going det isn't necessarily a terrible option. Melding full DH on a set might give you a 6% DPS increase, but melding full Det would give you a 5% increase with an increase on healing. Most of your slots will be filled though by crit, so either side is honestly negligible.

Spell Speed's effect on DoT damage was never worth investing in. If it was then most DPS classes would've attempted to use it in HW. It provides a percentage damage buff to DoTs, but it's weaker than what you would've gotten from Crit or Det, even without the oGCD and TP/MP factors pushing those further ahead. BLM was the only class that stacked it at all. It would be better for DoTs if it had the same effect as Haste in WoW, where it increases the DoT tick rate, thereby increasing the potency (though it would also be nice if it affected ability cooldown rate too).

It was heavily invested in by DPS oriented SCHs. With 4 Dots and a weaker filler spell, spell speed affected SCH the most aside from BLM.
