Are there any rewards in Pagos that aren't materia?

Open a Lockbox? Materia V.

Open a Cold-warped Lockbox? Materia V.

Kill a monster from a Bunny Fate, run all the way past Griffins and Morbols to get to a Gold chest and open it up? Materia VI!

Seriously, are there any other prizes? I understand the minions and other stuff became trivial to get in Anemos, but swinging to the opposite extreme of "Everything is now absurdly rare" when there are significantly less Lockbox drops isn't much better.

I’m more surprised to hear a good coffer dropped.

The RNG in this game is unfit for human consumption.

I don't think the droprate of good stuff is lower in Pagos, the shiver emote probably has a similar droprate to the t-rex mount, it's just a smaller sample size which is the kind of situation where the RNG can be extremely frustrating and feel totally broken. In Anemos you could open like 1000 boxes a day so even if it took you 6000 boxes to get the t-rex you still could do it in a reasonable amount of time. If it takes you 6000 cold warped lockboxes to get the emote then you'll get it shortly after the sun burns out. I don't think the devs have any sense of what a reasonable sample size for actual humans is, or how their RNG functions in different situations. The bigger the sample size the better their RNG works, but most of the things we do are microscopically small sample sizes.

The game is sorely lacking in gil sinks, so I don't mind the more exclusive rewards in Eureka being locked being RNG. If someone really wants a particular item they can either brave the grind and try their luck...or just buy it outright from the market board. At an inflated price, granted, though even at a casual pace gil isn't too hard to make in this game. I do agree that the game should stop leaning so heavily on materia as a reward, though. It practically throws it players these days so selling it on the market board often isn't wise and leaning on transmutation is just another layer of RNG and one that can be rather tedious and time consuming to engage in.

from what i understand, probably mostly wrong...

lower bunny fate can give two of the hakutaku eyes and two ingredients for the exp potion
upper bunny fate can give two of the eyes and stuffed bunny
regular lockbox gives two of the ingredients for exp potion and the glamour armor stuff, and furnishings
coldwarped lockbox can give the tarutaru minion, the cloth for making the male verison of lampshade glamour, one of the hakutaku eyes, furnishings, and shiver
king arthro can drop speedbelt
cassie can drop cassie earring and copycat minion
behemoth can drop behemoth horn or hide
hakutaku can drop optical hat if you have an eye cluster

but it's all tradeable so it's all crazy rare and coldlocked boxes are already annoying to get on top of the good stuff being rare

I just want my lousy Happy Bunny Triple Triad card.

Third day in a row of nothing but materia from bunnies. Lockboxes are hardly better.

I have to admit, sometimes RNG is completely unfair in this game too
