Do you feel bad about lying to NPCs?

DoH quest giver: The client wants only the highest quality armor and I immediately thought of you.

Me: *Goes to the market board because it's cheaper and/or less annoying than crafting it myself.*

Quest NPC: This is exquisite! You crafted this yourself? The guildmaster was right to recommend you. I look forward to working with you again.

Me: *Looks around nervously* Oh, yes! It was me! I most definitely did it all myself. Heh heh...

Anyone else kind of feel bad when things like this happen?

Nope. What kind of cheap boss asks you to do work for a client, but expects you to provide the materials?

I remember in 1.0 they'd give you the mats.
Easy money.

No because they are the same NPCs that always cry for us if something happen and we need to save them from the situation. Also in normal side quests they let us do the work even though they know who we are. x)

And like ElHeggunte said, they had not provided us with the materials for the craft anyways so they will get what they deserve.

I don't because hell will freeze before I turn in an item crafted or gathered by someone else.

I would love to say i feel the same way, because i basically do. Buuuuuuuuuuuuut.... i leveled FSH to 70. In short stints i can almost stand fishing(no more then 5 mins at a time). What i cant stand at all is having to use a 3rd party website or program to even figure out where to get a fish and what kind of bait i need to use(especially for fish ive already caught once before). So i may or may not(but most definitely did) get most of those levels via GC turn ins on days they were cheap on the market.

What they dont know wont hurt them.

There was 1 or 2 times that I did feel bad. But not related with what you wrote.

For example Ninja storyline around level 60+ there is someone that asks you to lie to someone for them. The game doesn’t give you any options, you simply do it. I really didn’t like that.

Other than that no, no problem at all :)

NPCs are lying to me, I dont feel bad.

"Can you please pick up some flowers for me?"
- "There are growing right next to you, why dont you pick them up by yourself?"
"Can you please pick up -"
- "Fine!"
