I have a Pixel 2, running Android P and when I try and launch the app it just instantly crashes. I have restarted, cleared cache and uninstalled and reinstalled.
Not sure if anyone else is having this issue. Maybe they will have an update soon

I've experienced the same problem on my pixel 2xl running beta.
Mine is not running beta and I even did a factory reset just to make sure it wasn't my phone (was due for one anyways)
an update is probably in the works.
just gotta wait it out a little longer.
I have same issue but on iPhone 5S (iOS 9)... All i can see is Zenos art and then it crashes...
:c
Good morning and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.
This forum in particular is for technical support for the game, as such, support for the companion app will be a bit more limited. However, we do have a few suggestions regarding crashes for the app (it looks like some of you have already tried some of these but I make a full list so everyone can troubleshoot the issue).
1) Close all other applications running in the background.
2) Delete your web browser's history, cookies and cache.
3) Errors are more likely to occur when devices have little free storage space. Consider removing any unnecessary app, images, music, etc.
4) Try turning off your device for a few minutes, then restart it.
5) Reinstall the app.
For Android devices only:
Make sure to clear the cache and data from the Google Play Store application
For IOS devices only:
Go to 'Safari' and in the 'Settings' menu, delete your history, cookies and cache.
If you continue having this problem after doing the above suggestions, please let us know so we can look into the issue.
We hope we can be of assistance in helping you enjoy the exciting world of Final Fantasy XIV!
No offense to the mood but that's not going to solve this situation. The build was probably for the prior os if it was approval hell before last week. I'm also on Android p, like pixel users. The app needs a patch for the new os version
Same here. Have pixel 2 xl. Running Android P, non beta. Hope a patch is coming out soon
I take it back.
I guess beta is over.
running Android P non beta.
Yeah none of that stuff the mod suggested works definitely an issue with the build this is going to effect all Android users who update to P soon. Hopefully they are working on a patch
