Pagos Improvement Ideas
Just a few things in my mind while maintenance is ongoing xD.
1.) Ease the requirements to spawn Notorious Monsters.
2.) Ease farming Light by letting players possibly gain light by killing monsters up to 10 levels below their current level that are connected to spawning Notorious Monsters.
3.) All monsters who are not connected to spawning Notorious monsters no longer give Light. Instead, they give 100% chance to drop a frozen golden coffer upon defeating them when they mutate to all party members.
4.) Increase the Pagos Crystals dropped by Notorious Monsters.
5.) Reduce the difficulty and HP of the mobs involved in the Bunny Fate.
6.) Eurekan Provisioner - the one that sells Eurekan Potions, should sell Phoenix Downs that are usable only inside Eureka.

I'd say Pagos is perfectly balanced if you are only going for one relic.
I got 500/500 Pagos Crystals at the same time I got my 15th frosted light.
I had 25 frosted lights and five Luihi kills before level 34.
By the time I hit 35 (6,250,000 exp) I should have what I need to finish the relic.
The problems arise if you want multiple relics.
But by then you have your mount and level 30+ fates.
If anything should be increased I'd say double the light you get at 35 (a buff or something to change feeble lights into gentle)
Pheonix down vendor is a fantastic idea. I miss having raise on Paladin.

Other improvements they could do quit putting a level needed to be just to use aetheryte shards, unlock mounts in Pagos that already had them unlocked in Anemos, and let you use your chocobo in there when soloing monsters in there.
-
- Three daily quests for good EXP, similar to the Beast Tribe system that already exists.
- Sidequests for EXP that become available the more you level due to the increasing demand for EXP in Eureka.
- Return of EXP for mapping out an area of Eureka, like in A Realm Reborn?
- Triple Triad cards are available from lockboxes.
- Aetherytes are made more accessible, perhaps like in Anemos. There is no need for 2/3 Aetherytes to be near level cap.
- Mounts are not removed, or at least made available earlier on. All players will have at least four by this point in time, and the risk of danger if you stop to engage an enemy in combat still exists since you can't mount while in battle.
- Chocobo Companion is available for people trying to solo.
-
I know this gonna come off as a complaint and whining but I wish we'd get more like Anemos where NM and spawning NM was the way to go for exp. I don't have time or desire sitting all day long grinding endlessly.
I'd go back to 2002 FFXI for that.

I like the suggestions so far. I'd also suggest:
- Add a level-synch option so we can do the challenge log with friends
- Make the fate-train viable again - We were not all afk! Some of us enjoyed the social aspect and it was far less punishing for those of us with conditions like RSI
- Reduce or remove the XP penalty on death without a raise
-
I'd like to have daily or weekly quests similar to Beast Tribe or Levequests where you get different objectives like fighting specific monsters or finding something etc. So that it's not just all chaining monsters. When you've done them you can grind monsters and do FATEs again IF they spawn. But there would also be something else to do.
-
Easy improvement: Make the next tier so grindy that it makes pagos look like anemos, since we all seem to be praising anemos now
The number one realistic fix they should implement is a form of level sync, because getting a group of players at the same level is the biggest hurdle to efficient progress. It's not impossible by any means, but it's not as simple as it should be.

I think one of the biggest differences between Eureka and previous relic quests is that Eureka you absolutely MUST do in a group from 1 - 35. It's all the same thing, grind experience, hand in, for every single part of the relic so far. The previous relics you could did need groups but could go a little more at your own pace, the journey was a little more personal to you, the steps were more varied as well.
I think Eureka needs some solo content to bring back the personal quest feeling and to balance it out. They're such beautiful maps, it would be nice to be able to chill and do your own thing.
