here is my super duper opinion on eureka

i like the eureka system (i rather grind instead of sitting at max level staring at the market board) but i feel like it needs at least 2 changes

1.) relic needs to be the feature point after doing x.0's main story, i feel like relic phases should start after an expansions story line to give ppl a taste of what they are about to get into...i feel like anemos shouldve been released with 4.0 starting off with 310 replacing the ala mhigan gear and get its gear updated by time

2.) if we have to wait for relic to be released a month b4 the next major patch, then weapons should be best in slot, no questions ask...if the relic was on the same day as the patch then it should never be bis but waiting and waiting for the relic to drop is kinda frustrating especially if we are getting relic this late

At least, for players that don't manage to farm Savage, it's them BiS. I think it's ok for Savage gear to be BiS, they deserve that.

And about the release date, yes, they should have been released it with 4.0.

It's the worst, It's so slow. All the mechanics in it fight the design of the instance. It's been like this forever with these exploratory missions PoC.

it's just weird. Instances in general have been established as when you go in the group is working together toward a goal. Even the alliance raids that have multiple groups. The exploratory and eureka have had this issue where all the player brought into the instance are no longer working together infarct they are competing for limited resources.

This goes against the games general design and feel. It was tolerable in Anemos, because the NM had all the groups working together and they were plentiful enough that no one was that competitive with the mobs before hand so they all work together to spawn the NMs with no one minding sacrificing the experience the mobs used to spawn them.

Now in Pagos, the NMs are far and in between so the mobs used to spawn them have become a limited and valuable resource. Groups are no longer working together they are competing to tag these mobs to get their groups experience resulting in groups sabotaging other groups to lay claim to an area. It goes against what this game has been trying to foster. The feel of Pagos is real slow and there is no cooperation in the instance anymore.

is it really? in pagos it is more chain than train which i dont have a problem with it, also the main problem with exploratory missions honestly are the people, the community will make and break what type of content we as a whole consiter fun, we made it unfun the first time by the dinosaur farms, tried it again, and people hated that b/c the prizes there they felt like it invalidated the savage and relic gear even tho it was a super rare drop...but every data center is pretty diffrent, mine in primal everybody is helping each other out and giving people time to run to the nm when it pops...if u are refering to people not inviting u to parties when u go in...its a pf issue since alot of parties rather go to the pf than pick someone who is just gonna leave them in a matter of mins idk if that made sense or not

i look at the population that is doing pagos whether if its ultimate or just cleared shinryu i feel like we need more time to feel the power of being max item level and also give the relic weapon more stakes b/c honestly it goes back to the point of a personal question as to why run relic for the weapon if its not even as good as the tomestone weapon, purple shouldn't get outclassed by blue

Since it have 5 materia slots, it is almost bis already. Even one more weapon damage would make it better than ultimate weapon. I think that would be pretty overkill.
