Don't know if this is an issue with the new patch? Playing on PS4, spacebar works fine on keyboard for every function except for making spaces between words in chat. Cannot seem to find a workaround.

When exactly did this start happening? Do you experience any similar problems (other buttons not working, the space bar not working in other scenarios, etc.)?
Do you have another keyboard you can test? Does this exhibit the same issue?
How is the keyboard connected, using a USB cable or wirelessly?
Try reconfiguring the key bindings or setting them to default if you have changed from that.
