Have tried doing the "/isearch soul of the summoner" in the chat box? The crystal can't be sold, traded, discarded etc so it should be somewhere.

Did you actually unlock the SMN job? It's not automatic when you unlock SCH, what was your last SMN quest in your journal?

ok, so turns out i forgot to finish the quest, i could've sworn i remembered getting both souls at the same time but that must have been the quests ty
