What aspect should Lily take in 5.0?

Currently Lily has two forms that we use in the game
Eos: aspect of the sun
Selene: aspect of the moon

So logic dictates that if we do in fact get a third (4th if you count the lb3 faerie) faerie form. It should represent some kind of either natural or celestial body.

Sun (technically Dawn), Moon, and ... Stars? Asteria? Could tie stars to the Star as we get closer to Hydaelyn and understanding our true place in Her war with Zodiark.

Though I wouldn't be opposed to just letting us use the angel-winged faerie as a glamour to match Last Resort.

(And I'm still waiting for Louisoix's hint that we might be able to use his quasi-primal waveform signature to build an arcane entity, like a Phoenix-Egi. Would be pretty crazy if we used it as a faerie, though.)

That would make for an amazing SCH limit break, Rebirth Flame... minus the damage but lots heals and revives with fluttering pinion feathers and what not. Like what we have now just proper trademark Phoenix style :)

SCHOLAR ALWAYS SHOULD'VE GOTTEN FLAMES OF REBIRTH AS A LB3 TO MATCH SUMMONER'S TERAFLARE. ALSO GIVE US PHOENIX-EGI.

On a more serious note, I think the faeries are lame and I desperately wish they expand egi glamour to include them one day. All of that said: isn't Helios the missing triplet from the Selene/Eos in Greek mythos? Though if you take Eos as Sun instead of Dawn it's murkier and I'd end up with Astraeus, I guess? That's, what, Eos' husband and god of dusk? It's not nice and leaves us with masculine faeries, so I feel like they'd feminize it.

All that said and my own biases aside, I can't see what a third potential aspect of Lily could do for Scholar mechanically either...

As far as Phoenix goes (for either SMN or SCH)... there's the lore problem that no one that knows Phoenix, the Primal, exists wants anyone else to find out about it. And as much as Phoenix fits SCH being a healer, SCH has nothing to do with primals or egis. As similar as the game mechancis for egis and fairies are, they have nothing in common in the lore.

Merely Devil's Advocate:

As far as a third-party onlooker would be concerned, there might need not be a connection between Louisoix and Phoenix. We might be able to hand-wave it. After all, Louisoix only became the phoenix because it was an ancient symbol of rebirth - what was on his mind as he watched Eorzea reduced to flame and ash as thousands of prayers were focused on him.

He knew enough to think of Phoenix. People know enough to name an Ala Mhigan gladiator the "Hellfire Phoenix", and to call Tenzen's weapon the "Phoenix Blade", or to sell what appear to be feathers dipped in alchemical concoctions called "Phoenix Down". Though most dismiss it, some even claim to have seen Phoenix on the eve of the Calamity.

The point of avoiding the connection between Louisoix and Phoenix is that he was "no true primal" at the time - a mortal man infused with (and likely killed by) primalesque power. To summon Phoenix again, with the entity behind the realm's restoration in the Calamity in mind, would likely draw Louisoix's shattered soul to the beacon and rematerialize him as a true primal, every bit as much as the Allagan General became the Empress of Birds.

That we have an arcane entity that looks like a bird of legend perhaps we need not connect to him, lol.

Biggest issue would be bringing a Side Quest revelation into another Side Quest.

Could always give her an earth...err...Hydaelyn aspected form.

Or alternatively just keep her as she is and go the SMN route. Instead of a new minion give SCH a form of dreadwyrm trance, always thought something to do with the Tonberry curse would be a fair way to go.
