Will they ever add melee DPS without positional attacks?

I really like melee classes but I hate the positional gameplay :( I know some jobs have less positional than others but still I find it "deal breaker".

Do you believe that they will ever add a melee job without positional requirements? Those who played FFXI, did all melee had positional attacks?

no, i highly doubt they will, and i hope they don't do that, because to me a melee whit no positionals is too boring

Melee DPS being so close range literally have the best opportunity to use positional skills more than any other jobs (except tanks). Ok sure you could give positionals to a BRD but they would have to do a lot of unnecessary mileage throughout a fight just to get the best damage output. If a melee never had to move then it would feel quite boring, may as well just give them casting time to use every action.

No positionals i think would take away from the experience. You do get True North at least that can be used (has 150s cooldown however)

Go play Warrior if you want a melee dps without positionals :P

Seriously, though. Positionals makes the mdps gameplay more enjoyable, otherwise it would become a boring snoozefest. I am afraid that if want to play a melee dps, you will have to deal with the positionals one way or the other.

That was Ninja on release (save Trick/Sneak Attack). They were also busted on release.

you'll get used to the positonals, ... up to the point, youll even miss them a bit in fights with no positonals.

when "learning" postionals, it can a bit much (especially mnk), ... or be annoying in dungeons when adds & bosses keep turning around (like in the lv 69 dungeon), ...

but once you got the routine (muscle memory) down, those postionals become real fun part of the rotation, even if occasionally there are moments of annoying adds or bosses that keep turning (those annoying adds/bosses exist for all clases, in different ways), ... dont give up on "positonal" dps!
