About roulettes, content, helping others, rewards, etc.
So I have thinking about this for quite a while with the way new content release is staggered and a lot of content already released over the years.
As far as roulettes go, we all know they're obviously there for the reasons of helping others complete duties with rewards of gil, tomes, xp, and other stuff for completion.
Now with the constant debates of what defines meaningful content and such, how do you feel about the philosophy of helping others get further in the main story and earning rewards to help you progress on the end-game. This is whether it's through roulettes, party finder, Wonderous Tails, mount farming, etc.
It's seems as if most of the content consists earning rewards through helping others via roulettes and WT. That is why I am asking this question.
As far as my answer to this question goes, I like to help others, make a difference in the lives of others, sate my thrills of combat, and earn stuff that I can decorate myself with. But sometimes I push my own luck and start to doubt myself if I am being too much of a hero and destroying my prideful morale.
