can we have WHM/CNJ weapon and shield be able to glam over 2 handed weapons

while testing stuff today with the princess dress with my friends , we found a really good combination but would need us to use the one handed cane and shield , so i was wondering why can't we glam those 1 handed cane over the 2 handed ones

Well the technical answer is obvious, 2 slots are needed. Given that the animation for a 1 handed and 2 handed cast is basically the same, and we run with the 2 handed weapons like it was a 1 handed one.

That said, bring back separate wand/shield's, maybe make those craftable.

Wands/Shields are a 1.0 relic that have been intentionally been phased out. Having a weapon across two slots is notoriously difficult to design for, which is why they limited it to PLD (who can only have two slot options), and even then PLD loot has been adjusted so that both are given at the same time.

I would rather they just changed paladins to have their sword + shield be a 2-handed weapon then (instead of a mainhand and offhand). Put it in line with every other job. We only need to get 7 Rowena's tokens (but if you buy 10, you just wasted 300 of the weekly capped tomestone, GG!) for our weapon, everyone else has to buy 10. With this change, PLD would also need 10, and thus be more consistent. You said it's notoriously difficult too, so making PLD one thing would make it easier right? You could even have it so the sword slips between your body and the shield on your back, so it looks more like a singular thing.

They could do that by making a new type of weapons equippable by GLA/PLD, like THM/BLM and CNJ/WHM can equip two types of weapons. Unfortunately, that could make the former one-handed swords and one-handed shields impossible to glamour on top on the new 2-handed weapons. Furthermore, what about people with non matching glaoured sword and shield? Goodbye Titan's shield since non Titan's sword exist? By the way, SE, if you can make new weapons for these Primals for DRK, AST, MCH, SAM, RDM, you can make Titan's sword and Ifrit's, Garuda's and Moogle's shields for PLD.

Paladins need 7 tokens because they can buy the shield on the side for 300 tomestones. I mean, if you want to avoid losing 3 tokens, SE can make us buy the shield with 3 tokens instead of 300 tomestones but I do not see the point to do so...
The only thing they could to be fair with the other jobs is to sell the sword and the shield together for 10 tokens + the special tomestones (so that PLD cannot buy the shield before getting the special tomestone).

I understand the shield aspect of it, you can't glamour over something that's not there, but not being able to glamour the 1-handed weapons over the 2-handed weapons is annoying. Especially when 1 slot over 2 slot is already possible with armor.
