Something I notice every morning, this game is so ALIVE

Every time I play XIV, I am thankful for all the possibilities and things there are to do. Between gathering, crafting and dungeon raiding, the game is just getting started.

Starting an FC is always fun, and so is building a fleet of airships and submarines.

Decorating houses is fun, there is a community/game within XIV itself just with this part of XIV. Check out housing snap or Eorzean Estates.

Gold Saucer : need I say more?

Map parties : If you haven't done these, don't submit your "crybaby unsub " post jussssssst yet!

Wondrous Tails : what a simple yet productive way to do recycled content.

PVP : I don't do or enjoy this, but many do! Another feather in XIV's cap.

Misc: Diadem, Eureka, Palace of the Dead: Take them or leave them, you cannot deny the added versatility they give this game.

Linkshells: Believe it or not this game has great community. I won't say it's better than any other game's,but it's there, and it's great if you take the time to get involved with some type of group i.e. map or hunt parties.

Events and content : Square does a great job of adding new stuff consintently, it isn't always rockstar content,but they always try,and alot of times stuff is new and unique.

In summation: This game is alive and well. I love it, and I love my server Sargatanas.

Can we stop making contra-posts in the forums? What is this a yu gi oh game and you activate a trap card?

Not sure what a contra-post is, but these are the general forums. People are allowed to make praise threads just as much as they are allowed to make critical ones. Comes with the territory.

Easy solution though, if they bug you, just move on to the next topic.

make me want to point out all the bad in the game, because as we know, there is A LOT of it.

I'm glad you're enjoying the game, OP, but people have plenty of reasons why they want to unsub, or why they think this game is less than stellar. These people are no more "cry babies" than you are a "white knight" for all the praise you're giving the game. Both terms are stupid.

This is probably in reference to this thread being a response to an "Here's why I'm unsubbing"/"This game is dead" thread made earlier this morning. Same thing happened yesterday with someone making a contra-post (sarcastically) to the "Let old Feast rewards be reobtainable" thread with a "Let art contest rewards be more easily obtainable" thread.

lol, that makes a lot more sense. My mind was going to the video game Contra, and was coming up blank ;)

I'll be honest, I'm not entirely sure if the first post is sarcastic or not...

So I'll assume it isn't and say that I agree <3 For me the game is very alive.

I wake up, check my retainers and there's always something that sold. The marketboard is very alive and keeps me active.

Because of the market I deal with (GC and recently Diadem spoils), that means that I then have to run content to get more GC seals and Diadem spoils.

With the new Diadem discord, I now have that to look forward to as we've gotten successful runs nearly every day or every other day! I <3 how we were able to get together to revive it.

Then the people in my FC who will be asking for help as they are still going through their MSQ and they need help with a dungeon or trial. Even though these can be done with random people, people usually ask if anyone wants to tag along for roulettes because it's fun to do things with people you know.

I enjoy the activity in various linkshells. The hunt community in Faerie is just so amazing.

My FC mates are often getting mount farm or map parties together and it's really fun reading them getting all organized and set up to go.

I'm not too involved in the pvp community, though I do go in there every once in a while, but I know people that are and they're so passionate about it. I did join the RW revival discord and once again, it's amazing the community's desire to work together <3.

Plus some people I know have been having fun in Eureka. Not sure if SE put in that magicite sync secretly or if there are less people going in there, but apparently things take longer to kill and actually require mechs again like they did in the first few days, so the people who tell me about it are telling me it's fun again. I wish I had the time to go again and check it out.

And of course it's always fun when I'm doing retainer stuff in Limsa and suddenly I see shouts for people trying to set up emote or glamour events. They're so crazy I love it <3

Also it's great to see how many parties are in PF for savage content, but also sometimes fun ones to do syncd old trials, or even "Other" PF for people who just want to send out a nice message. (I think I've seen a "PF" that said something like "I hope you are having a wonderful day and know you are all special and loved" or something like that)

There are definitely communities of people that make the best of what's available and I just love seeing it. I feel for people who aren't part of these wonderfully active communities.

And right now people are looking forward to HoH, even if they didn't like POTD, because of the announcement that the harder levels start at 30 to get there faster. Having to work from 50 to 100 in POTD just to get to the fun content is a chore, so HoH's announced pace is getting people all excited.

I'd much rather these "here's why your "I'm unsubbing" threads are stupid" over "I'm unsubbing" threads. At least these are funny

Last night while waiting for a Fate in Limsa Lominsa, a random player and I had a contest to see who perfectly predict the emote the next person was going to use.

kinda like a reverse game of HORSE, but with guessing emotes.

He/she won tho...that sly sneaky little Lalafell

I'll add to my signature ^^. My experience is from Aether, but our Primal counterparts have been successful too. (I just don't know if they've been doing it nearly daily like we have). Same discord server, just different chat channels.
