Map Issue

Hi guys i have an issue that's been bugging me for more than a week now. My region map doesn't show the directional arrow anymore. How do i get it back?

Currently my map show this:

I want it to show like this:

You can click on left side icons to change the map, or u click on the aerea/map self

Good morning and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

The top picture looks like what the maps should be when you start moving. The map is inactive. If you click on the map, it will become active and the legend will be displayed.

Does this not happen when you select it?
