Game play:
1. Map Marker/line drawer – Areas are simply too big for us to remember everything. We need tools to mark down logging points, mining points, trees type, minerals, monsters, caves, fishing…etc.
We also need a line drawer beside just a map marker, a drawing tool that allows us to circle up an area.
2. Bazaar browsing and moving - It is annoying and counter productive that we cannot move while browsing bazaar. So many times I cannot make purchase because the seller ran away too quick.
3. Bazaar/trading range expand – Please expand the distance for purchase and trading.
4. Message/email – We need a in game message/email system between players
5. Chat mode improvements – (a) please get rid of the space bar activation, FFXI’s chat mode was much more convenience. (b) Please make the chat mode stays at the last used mode. It is really annoying that I have to press space bar and then ctrl P especially during a super busy behest run while trying to heal and talk. (c) Please make it easier to send tell just by simply targeting the player and hit enter button.
6. Animas – In reality, we need typically between 24-30 animas per day. Please make regenerate rate faster. Give us quests that will allow us to earn the animas.
7. Dropping down/ sliding/ jumping the cliffs – It is a big waste of time and really annoying when we have to walk along a 20 feet long ridge/cliff that is only 3 feet high in order to descend to a lower level. This is a bad design. Let us slide, drop or jump down those 10-15 feet high cliffs please.
8. Retail NPC at all camp – We all have more than one craft jobs. We have too many materials and drops.
9. Delivery system – We need that in game and it should be available at all camps
Combat:
1. Gear switching during battle - For me personally, FFXIV’s combat system feels more like a big WII smashing button combat and not requiring any skill. Mean while FFXI combat system offers more customization thanks to the gear switching. For example, Blm has a stun/sleep gears set, nuke set, enfeeble set, healing set of gears. Tanks have hate set, evasion set, casting set, defense set, attack/weapon skill set to swap.
For people who don’t care to carry more gears, they don’t have to. It is a great option for people to have and it will further personalize their own playing and skills.
2. Macros – We need more macros and lines. There are so many abilities to switch when you change job. 20 lines for each marcor and 100 macros would be great!;)
3. Abolish Stamina Bar – It is useless and serve no fun purpose. Getting rid of it will offer us more timing and skill challenges. For example, we can try to stun or dodge or counter certain monster’s attack?
4. Attack bonus and penalty – Please make certain mob more vulnerable to certain type of attack but strong against other types, or some mobs are strong against physical attack and some are immune to magic...etc. It is always rewarding for us to figure out and planning a strategy that will work. Right now, it seems like all physical attacks have same results.
* This is where SE Developer can take advantage and making the very distinguished differences between all the classes/jobs. It will also motivate people to form a group with more strategically planned for certain raid and battle.
Party:
1. Search function – We need a search function that will allow party leader to look for desired members. For example /sea all Con 41-46. Right now, party literally has to disband if someone decide to leave and there is no way for the leader to search for a replacement.
2. Invite – Please let party leader send invite to anyone within the same zone.
3. Party comments – Please allow players to make party/search comments. For example, SP/Leve long time party please? Mrd 21, Con 46, Pug 29. JP/NA/EU ok. BSM 37 for repair.
4. Seeking party – Please give player a seeking party icon next to their name. It will definitely encouraging people to form party when there are people who is seeking near by.
5. Behest party – Please make behest group auto formed party. I am sorry but there are always inept party leader who failed to invite everyone or day dreaming player who failed to accept invites.
Crafting:
1. Recipes book -Please give us a note book that will record all the recipes we used and learned through the leves quest.
2. Signature - Please allow us to make signature when we HQ a +1/2/3 item.
3. Local Leve ranks - Please make all the available local leve rank appropriate to players actual crafting level. It should be within 10 levels below and 5 levels above.
4. Crafting NPC – Please make available of all crafting support NPC in every city so we don’t have to run to the camp to get synthesize support.
Linkshell:
1. Removing members – Linkshell leaders should be able to removing members just from the LS list.
2. Promotion/demotion – Linkshell leader should be able to promote or demote members just from the LS list.
3. Member status – Please show LS members location, job, ranks on LS list.
4. LS Message – Please allow leaders/officer to make LS message.

I more or less agree with most stuff above.
Some points i strongly recommend implenting asap. (sometime after worlds are back in order)
Anima
- I could manage to be low on anima, if there was a Mage that can actually teleport using mana.
(bit atm thats no the case)
So until then i'd like to see an increase in Anima regen.
Map Markers
- It's something from FFXI, but still a great idea, looking at the 2D map & trying to match it with the 3D physical map is something completly diffrent. The maps are huge & are somethimes hard to see if your are close or not since most things look alike. (not everywhere)
Over coming world obstacles... (Jump related)
- i really like this idea over jump, people have complained about fences, elevated surfaces etc & want jump.
Why not like suggested above make us slide down hill's instead.
I mean running into fences & getting stuck... thats just a lame excuse for being lazy & not walk around it.
A player who gets stuck on a fence is obviously blind, stupid & have
the reaction time reduced to an absolute minimum if their not able to avoid such
an obstacle, when they infact can several "Yalm's" ahead of them.
Mailbox
- Just like OP says, we need it.
Linkshell Options:
- This really needs major improvements.
We must be able to kick/promote/demote members even if they're not online.
I shouldnt have to restart a new LS because some ppl are idiots.
LS Message , a must have feature.
It also causes havoc on the Lodestone LS page if we have to drop LS, especially as LS leader.
All post etc will be gone if Leader breaks LS. >.<
Sign Crafted items:
- This option was awesome in FFXI, its also a good way of promoting crafters.
But instead of using a special crystal, i would rather see an "SIgnature" buff or action
that at the end lets you choose to sign the finished crafted item or not.
I wouldnt mind having to do a Quest to get this option, that would be pretty cool.
Or pay some guildmarks to unlock this feature. (prefer Quest thou, to make it more interesting) -

yes yes and yes to like basically everything exept the removal of stamina bar, but yeah i say all of this needs to get implemented like yesterday. specially the anima, i reaaaaaaly want gear changes in the game like ffxi, it adds to the game alot, from the collecting of the gears to rocking out macro's for all of them and using them when needed. i loved this in ffxi.
i'm very dumbfounded bout there not being a tool that keeps track of every little thing we do in ffxiv from recipies, to how many times we killed every mob, our deaths, leves,behests ..everything, it's a pve game and pvp games like warhammer have the best tools for stuff like this, i was expecting this game to have something at the least equal to those.
party player searches need to be hooked up like this, the way it is now is fail. 1-2people run off on u in like 30-60mins and the hole party is done and i spent lot of time trying to put together? and i waist anima that i almost have none of? and theres no way of reinviting more people? i have to port to empty city to shout again in a zone of afk botters? wtf?!?!? yes please fix the searches.
i'd like to add, giving everyone a free transfer while we are waiting for a real launch would be nice on top of everything. we got servers that are completly empty, i dunno if it's cause they trying to save face by merging or they want us to wait for a year of playing on empty servers b4 they start doing so? it's killing me playing with the amount of players that are on my server. -

Auto Attack - Please make auto attack option available. I requested "Option" because there are some people wo love smashing button instead. I know there are a huge amount of people including myself love the Auto Attack which will free us up to social. Hence it will open up for more other skill/timing challenges options.
Game play:
Reverse auction house/ custom order bulletin - Sometimes we need a very specific part that no one really make. Say "Leather Knuckle Grip" or "Mythril Buckle"? I am only making a random example. It doesn't help us with a search function for market ward if no one made it. No one should have to spend 2 hours to /shout "WTB such and such items" in all 3 cities and wasting animas.
Get us a Market Ward NPC that allow us to place a Custom Order with specific Price offer and Quantity needed. Crafters can go to that NPC and read all the custom request orders and decide which job they will take. Once the job taken and it won't available to public anymore. The custom job will have a limited time frame to deliver say 1hr RL time to prevent Crafter from taking the job and sleeping for 12 hrs?
The Custom Order NPC will serve as a Arbitrator who take the Buyer's offer money and the crafter's item. Each Categorie has at least 1 Custom Order NPC.
To avoid RMT exploit, put limitation on the requirements such as Crafter has to be within Level to take the job, 8 custom request job max per RL day. So RMT cannot use Bots to claim all the job? Just my idea but I think it will improves the game a lot.
