Please improve the mail system

While other aspects of the game's interface have seen some middling improvements, particularly the party finder, the mail system in this game remains completely frustrating and unfriendly for the user. As a crafter and a leader in my free company, I use the mail system. A lot. And I hate it.

1.) The lag when deleting mails
We have a limit on how much mail we can store so obviously at some point you need to delete it. But deleting mail, especially more than one, takes forever, because of the "lag" where it can't retrieve the mail from the server. So I have to wait a few seconds after every mail action to be able to delete a letter.

2.) No mass-delete or mass-open
This would be the biggest improvement. The ability to checkbox which mails we want to delete or retrieve items from at mass would be fantastic. Then instead of individually pulling the items I can just check them, get them all at once, then check them to delete.

3.) Friend list requirement
I understand that this was put into place to prevent gil sellers from spamming letters. But I think a better solution, so that we don't have to friend people to send them mail, would just be to limit how much mail we can send within a given window. I use the mail system a lot but even I'm not sending that much stuff.

Please give the mail system a look over SE. It's really frustrating to use. Mostly because of that lag. Uggghhh.
