ff14 crashing issues

Hello first time here. I having a issue with the game crashing. every time I try to max the setting, the game will lock up my pc forcing me to reset my pc. I recently upgraded my gpu from a 660 sli to 1080. I using the latest drivers from Nvidia and install direct X directly from Microsoft. I did tried restalling the os that to no avil. I did narrowed the problem to the lighting quality from in game setting, which I believe is the source of the issue. could this be a driver issue or a game issue.

Please try these suggestions:

Troubleshooting suggestions:

- Switch to DirectX 9 mode (select ‘Config’ from the launcher)
- Update/reinstall Graphics card drivers
- Disable all programs/overlays running in the background
- Perform a clean boot*
- Set compatibility mode to Windows 7/8**
- Make sure that any anti-virus software they have has the appropriate exceptions
- Install game on C drive (The same drive as the Operating System)
