Unable to discard duplicate item.

As of 4.2 it appears that being unable to delete duplicate items that have not been used on the character takes up inventory space. The flag that allows you to delete the duplicate only triggers when you have claimed one of the items.

This appears to be an issue for a few role playing characters that I have and I would like to know if there is a way to remove the item from inventory or if they would change this system to check for retainers and not allow us to have more than 1 of the item that we cannot claim.

Sorry if this appears to be a problem that many others won't have, but I received a support email asking me to express my concerns on the official forums.
