Dear SE, PLEASE have more control over keybinds for music performance.

It was already difficult enough to map the keys with your hand in a relaxed comfortable position onto notes with one octave range due to limits of characters such as "TAB/Shift, F-Keys, Symbols, keys on the numeric keypad, and such. Plus you can't have a keybind set to multiple keys for a single note (ex. Shift+Q, ALT+W.

Now with 3 octave ranges that opens opportunities to to play with 2 hands, further complicating matters worse. Don't get me wrong, the feature is very much appreciated, but if you are a musician you should know proper technique is a core aspect to your fundamentals which promotes and hones speed, accuracy, efficiency, consistency, etc.

I understand Shift/Ctrl/Alt are hard-assigned for +/- octave, but IMO it's not ideal. I don't think it should take much effort to remove or fix this so your other keybinds can have more versatility with customization.

I have mine mapped using the A-' keys for the middle octave naturals(A-D), then put the black key accidentals in the row above in an arrangement to mimic a keyboard. I can then ctrl or alt for octave up or down. I then just do a chromatic arrangement of the upper range and the lower range in the number keys and the bottom letter keys, respectively. It's hard to describe, but it works well, in theory.

I say in theory, because it was my LoTRO music setup back in the day and worked fantastically, but SE needs to figure out why there is a 1/4 second delay when I press a key before I hear the sound. Because that is screwing up my rhythm.

EDIT: I should mention that the delay is VASTLY less significant on my PS4 controller.

Can't use the F1 - F12 keys or the numpad for musical notes. I don't understand this limitation, it just forces players into the awkward use of transposing notes with a bind or having all the individual notes in a layout that doesn't make sense. I am a bit disappointed :(

But the samples for the musical instruments are way better so there's that.
