Translated Patch 4.3 info: "Relic armor will not be upgraded"

Posted on reddit just now. I highlighted perhaps the biggest news. It appears Eureka armor will remain i350. Some are speculating this may change in 4.4, and the reason they aren't upgraded each cycle is to ensure people run Ridorana. Certainly disappointing regardless, especially if they are, indeed, dropping relic armor completely.

Additional highlights

• They understand that rewards from side quests aren't worth it, but since it's difficult changing all the current side quests, they are considering adjusting exp from the quests in the future.
• Players will be able to choose what Kurenai wears, but this system won't be added to the old custom delivery npcs (Zhloe and M'naago). They will consider adding it if the demand is high.
• To help players catch up, they will be adjusting "Anemos". One specific example is a "weekly bonus" in your challenge log.
• certain cut scenes from the next scenario will not be viewable at unending journey so yoshida recommends not skipping them as you will miss some hints.

That means less time in Eureka(hopefully). I'm fine with this. Also relics eventually change and they can't do that for armour. If they make the armour change then the question comes up as "Why didn't we just use this set for 5.0?" Then they have to make another new set based on the jobs. They could make the armour glow..but that's just underwhelming.

Ugh That was my last hope for keeping my SMN geared. I really want nothing to do with the Ridorana All greed system.

They could still keep the armour looking the same, honestly the majority of the class relic armours look decent(haven't actually tried on some of them...so won't say all), and just upgrade stats/ilevel.

Well that's just stupid. Why do that?

Not surprised about the discontinuation of Relic Armor. I feel like introducing it at all was a way to help people who started late by ensuring that people will run Eureka for longer if only for the glamour. Now that it's being nerfed, however, and they already learned their lesson and will make the next steps more solo friendly, there's less point to continue with this system, not to mention investing in 13 extra sets of gear every other patch is not worth the investment, probably.

Dyeable AF gear was the carrot to keep people in Eureka. imo the less time I have to spend in there, the better.

Perhaps this is good news? There is so many options available to gear up already plus what we are getting in 4.3.

and i just spent all the weekly locked tomes on my secondary class because i thought i can keep my main in the relic armor.

okay, after they said eureka upgrade comes not before 4.36 i already knew this wouldn't work anyway... at least i am a tank and already have crafted accessorys, so i only need tomes for the left side xD

This bothers me more than it should.

Good to know now I don't have to worry about spending more time in there...it's hard doing all gear just do to boredom -.-
