Fatal DirectX Error10000000

Upon attempting to launch my game, I receive the following error:

When did this first occur? Did anything on your PC change/update that coincides with this?

Does the same error occur if you use DirectX 9 mode?

Are there any programs/overlays running in the background?

The started when I launched my game last night. As for DirectX 9 mode, it appears that I'm unable to change to it:

I was able to fix my problem by applying a hotfix to my graphics card driver.
