Question/Feedback for Command Mission NPC Tanks
So I read in that a recent update (I've been away from the game for awhile) that the AI for your adventurer squadrons was updated and improved when doing Command Missions (dungeons) with your squadron.
And overall I have noticed a sizable improvement, but yet I also noticed something else strange, and I think a tweak would help immensely:
Whenever I use a ranged attack to start a battle, my tank will always, always always attack one of the other targets that I did not attack, and the tank will very lazily occasionally use ranged attacks on the enemy that is now attacking me.
Furthermore, my squadron allies will always attack their own targets instead of mine.
So, a suggestion for a tweak: Make it so that if you open a battle with a ranged attack (which is much easier than clicking the attack order button), your squadron should focus the same enemy you started to attack.
If, after that, you use the attack order button, that should take precedence over what enemy you are currently attacking.
So, to summarize:
Your Squadron AI DPS should choose enemy targets in this priority:
1). The enemy the "Attack!" order was used on last,
2). The enemy most recently attacked by the player.
3). The enemy that is currently attacking the healer (if there is one),
4). Randomly select an enemy on the threat list.
AI Tanks should choose targets as such:
1). An enemy attacking the healer.
2). An enemy attacking a DPS player character.
3). The enemy the "Attack!" order was used on last,
4). The most recent enemy attacked by the player,
5). Choose a random enemy if none of the above.
I feel that this would make AI almost perfect.
