Elemental Resistance Calculations -- Can I Have It?

Not looking for a debate on how effective or not such equipment is, or even if I need it or not. Too many threads on that, and I just want a simple little answer please, to the question:

Does anyone have any calculations/data that shows what the reduction in damage one will incur from the usage of Elemental Resistance equipment when being attacked by elemental magicks?

I take it that no one has this information, so I shall try to take it upon myself to find out this information.

Can anyone suggest (or point me to a link) that shows ideas on how to best calculate these things?
I.e.: Good mob to use for source of attack.
