Dragoon'ing: Stat Builds

So I've been receiving a few conflicting opinions regarding the stats a dragoon should have. I used to have 1.1k sks, then I was advised to lower it, which I did. It's now 922, yet apparently to some, that's still higher than advised. Apparently I have too much crit (2.1k), and need to focus more on dhr (1713). I wasn't aware there was such a thing as too much crit haha.

So I wondered what everyone's consensus is on a proper dragoon build. Should I just continue working towards BiS gear? Let me know your opinions.

There are two bis set for the current raid tier.

2.44 GCD

Just wear and meld the pieces present in these two sets as you get them. Also wear the highest ilvl piece if you get them even if they might not be in these two sets. Stat min maxing before you get bis and i370 pieces is pretty meaningless

No such thing as too much Crit in this game - it's one of the most powerful stats when stacked up with good reason. Especially with how much crit buff bloat there is in Stormblood.

DH is also not a god stat, nor should you focus/worry on making sure your totals add up to 3500 for both combined. Both of these notions are misunderstandings that were spread early on.

I definitely recommend one of the sets Apple's linked based on your GCD preference, you'll also notice how they are both Crit major in bias.
