Information on the gear design contest process?

(First off, this is my first time posting on these forums. I tried looking around to see if this was the right place for this kind of topic but am still unsure, if I should move it help on to where would be appreciated'')

Hello, I have some basic questions for anyone who has entered one of the gear design contests or know the process they have.

After submitting your entry through email, do you ever get confirmation that they received the design from you? Nothing big but just a reply like "your entry was recieved". I'm mostly worried wondering if my entry went through or if it was delayed to the contest account due to spotty internet connection and may have been past the due date because of a lax in connection. Do they do anything like this or do you have to just wait until July when they announce winners and hope I wasn't kicked out because of a bad time period and unfortunate circumstance?

EDIT: after looking (again) at the entry period I realized that the due date was MAY 21st and not April 21st, meaning that my question is unnecessary and that I also crunched what they had as a months design time period into what little time I had in two days. Whoops??
