One More Request To Do Away With Spinner's Pull (Or At Least Explain Why It Exists!)

I have no idea what the hangup is in removing this particular TT tournament format is, but it doesn't make any sense at all from a competitive standpoint. If you told me I had to swap cards with an opponent at a Magic: The Gathering Grand Prix, I'd laugh at you. What, exactly, does RNG have to do with deciding who the better competitor is?

And why the nine hells don't we have a Sudden Death format in a TOURNAMENT?! How many tournaments have ties? None that I know of. Can you imagine, say, Major League Baseball installing a tie rule for October playoff baseball?

Barring that, can whoever made this design decision PLEASE explain to me what they were thinking when they did? Because I'm clearly not seeing something they're seeing.

Want to know what one of the original rules for the Spinner's Pull originally was before the swap rule? It was Random. That is a spinner's pull right there.

all this stuff stems from how it worked in FFVIII. Blame that game if you must. lol

Yeah, i havent played in a tournament in over a year(finally got my last card out of a lucky pack, never looked back) but i remember one of the tournaments being Random/Random as the ruleset. Clearly RNG is the intention in that sort of setup.
