Live Letter translations on Twitter are not acceptable

At first I thought this was merely a change in location, but my other thought was "how are they going to manage that with the twitter character limit." It seems the answer is, by not bothering to translate hardly anything.

SE, you've already always tended to shift the translation load of these to the community (which frequently have accuracy issues), but at least there was an official translation following up.

Now you've apparently just gone "f*** it" and aren't even bothering to translate 90% of it.

Please tell me why this is acceptable for a multibillion dollar, multinational corporation with half or more of its subscribers being English speaking?

What was on twitter was PR, not any kind of useful information. The reddit fan translation is all we got, and that's disgraceful.

If they can't do it live, at least have the transcript or the slides ready to post in a thread afterwards. Don't even care if the Q&A portion isn't there right away. At least the patch information. Not having official information and having to use second hand info is a bummer.

Did they even talk about the questions concerning the issues of botters and such that were asked on the forum or did they just want to talk about how their penalty system works? Last I looked on Reddit, that section wasn't talked about and all I have to go on are the slides. :\

We don't know. Which is a big part of the problem.

They said they are working to learn bots pattern to root them out

Exactly. Just give the community managers all the pictures and informations before the Liveletter so that it can be ready to go live after the letter is over. I would be fine if its some hours later since you have different time zones but there is seemingly at least someone working to translate the stuff for twitter..why not have that person post all the information on the forum?
