Mini-freezes since 4.2
Hello! I've been having much trouble with the game since 4.2. When I play the game my PC just gets random mini-freezes, where I'm 30 seconds long unable to do anything, after that the game minimizes itself. I use a second display and everything in it also freezes. Running the game on DirectX 9 since it crashed on DirectX 11. I tried anything to solve it since I'm so frustrated, I installed Win10 new, updated everything properly, made sure there's no ''overlay'' program which interferes with the game, EVERYTHING. I put so much time into this game and I really want to fix this.
System specs: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
CPU: AMD FX-8320
Motherboard: ASUS M5A78L-M/USB3
Graphic card: 4096MB ATI Radeon RX 480 Graphics
Thanks for the help.

Hello ProbablyYess, Thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums
I would like to suggest doing a clean boot.
To perform a clean boot for Windows 8/10: Open the task manager and select the 'Start up' Tab. Disable everything here and restart the PC. For Windows 7: Click Start, type msconfig.exe in the Start Search box, and then press Enter to start the System Configuration utility. On the General tab, click the Selective startup option, and then click to clear the Load startup items check box. On the Services tab, click to select the Hide all Microsoft services check box, and then click Disable all. For Mac: Restart the Mac, then immediately press and hold the Shift key. The Apple logo appears on your display. Release the Shift key when you see the login window.
Hope to be of assistance.

It made no difference. DX11 is still crashing, and DX9 has still the mini-freezes and blackouts.

Thank you for your response.
Based on the information provided, we have come to the conclusion that a complete reinstall of the game may be necessary. Please uninstall Final Fantasy XIV from your computer. Make sure to delete any remaining FFXIV files from your computer, including any potential files in your ‘Documents’ folder. Then reinstall the game from scratch. If you need a digital version of this, it can be found here: http://www.finalfantasyxiv.com/playersdownload/na/. Any updates or expansions will be downloaded to your computer once logged into the appropriate account
Hope to be of assistance.

Thank you for the update ProbablyYess.
There are a few more things you can try:
-Make sure your graphics card drivers are up to date
-Make sure your anti-virus/firewall has the appropriate exceptions for the game
-Run the game as administrator and in compatibility mode for Windows 7
We hope we can be of assistance in helping you enjoy the exciting world of Final Fantasy XIV!
