Does anyone ever think of starting over?

This may be the depression talking but I've recently started an alt to have some fun and not be so stagnant all the time. And to my surprise it was really fun. I was having a blast reliving everything. To the point that I thought. hey if we're having this much fun now why not start all over?

does anyone feel like that sometimes?

Sometimes I play on alts whenever I’m feeling too stressed out on my main character. But I don’t think I could ever abandon her; I’m pretty attached. I understand the desire of wanting to start over, though. A clean slate is always nice.

I have far too much invested, financially and chronologically , to abandon my "main" character. However I also find enjoyment in swapping to an alt and seeing the adventure from that separate perspective.

Same. Though I really don't have time to run an alt myself.

I've been thinking of making an alt to see the ul dah start story and to see how these cut scenes look when I'm a la la. I've not done it yet though and I don't think I'll ever get rid of my main.

After all the hard work, sweat & tears, patience/impatience, lvling, gil, and lore that I put into my character? NO WAY IN HELL I'm going though the madness again lol
If I want to reminisce the story/adventure, I can just go watch the cutscenes in the inn room and let the good/bad memories roll in as I repeat to myself, "never again.." XD

If I'm curious what the story looks like from a different city state/race, that's what Youtube is for.

I have a lot of alts that I play on when I'm not feeling like doing stuff on my main, but I would never abandon her.

Well, I started last week of December and than restarted at the beginning of March mainly because I started feeling I was skipping too much of the story and side activities by trying to get to the end game as soon as possible. Still got my original character though.

I do, but the feeling doesn't last terribly long for me. There's a fine line between nostalgia and feeling limited. It's much the same feeling I get on my brief forays back into FFXI.

I've done this before when coming back to the game after a long pause, because of confusion on where to even begin with the character I played before my break. Once I got to endgame I regretted not just continuing on my previous WoL, though.
