For a second it looked similar like "the Girl with the dragon tattoo" o.O
English is not my mother language, so take this with a grain of salt. The original meaning for "gay" is "happy", so this is not about a homosexual dragon.
it's because the boy likes dragons, aka "he's gay for dragons", no pun intended.
yeah another instance of SE trying to use older speak (loved that by the way) and people not understanding. Some NPCs used to use the word gay in reference to being happy, but has since been changed.
The boy and the (happy/joyful/carefree) dragon. Would be the best way to mentally process the title.
Gay predominantly meaning homosexual is a relatively new thing in modern English. Most sources point towards the change in the lexicon dating in some where around the 1950 to mid 60's.
All though i think this thread would be been better placed in the localization section.
I assumed gay would mean happy in this context, but in relation to the quest itself it was kind of vague to find it back and was just wondering if it was a pun on some outside game title.
