Newish player Desynth question

just now getting into desynthing and i have a question, is there a most effective piece of gear to make an desynth for each DoH? ive tried looking up guides, most of them just have you go around buying stuff in vendors and id prefer to not go throwing money away if i dont have to, do have LTW at around 100 atm for desynth but thats pretty much it

Desynth you can only have 3 lvled. So you have to pick what desynths you want to do. For lvling something like ltw or Weaver desynth I would do dungeon gear since no money involved. I have goldsmith, Weaver, and cul. For goldsmith and Weaver I did dungeon gear and gear I crafted to lvl it based on the lvl I was, seems like the most cost efficient way.

To clarify, you can only max three classes on desynth level. But as far as I've heard, there's no great benefit lately to maxing anything. I haven't heard of anything new being exclusively desynth items. With the cap raised as high as it is, you can get several more into useful desynth range.

but i just got through reading there were some books to reset your desynthing to level 1 so i mean true you cant fully max, you can get pretty close (and seeing as how before i knew about the only 3, i kinda desynthed using a few diff classes to clear clutter in inv instead of just dropping but nothing above 9)

If you only max 3, and no doing all you really can’t get close to max I had to go back and clear mine with books when I figured that out but like cul you can get swim wear and mats for it that can, depending on server sell pretty good. Fieldcraft and battlecract depending on server can sell for a bit. GSM and Weaver can be used to get materia for like glowing primal weapons (the old ones) although that isn’t worth too much now. But basically at low lvls nothing useful drops, and like hasrat says they haven’t added on it in a long time but I mean always nice to have if they do decide to add upon it.

In response to many of the comments above, indeed you can only max 3 classes for desyn. However, you don't really need max on any class for anything specific at the moment. In fact, at this point of the game, there's no specific reason to get pass even level 70 yet (except breaking gear to clear inventory).

Personally, I have 2 classes above 310, 1 class above 280 and 1 class around level 70. So yeah, I have four classes. My forth class is BSM. I just find it useful for breaking down Mog items from Thornmarch. Will classes above 300 be useful for anything specific in the future? We have no idea yet...

To answer the OP's question, different classes rarely share the same kind of items for optimal desyn training. Some "shared" items include those items from Silver Bazaar:

But the ones in GC don't cover all classes... Furthermore, each class has their own desyn items before they can reach a point where it is optimal to desyn the above items.

GSM is one of the easiest one, imo. Especially when Aetheryte Ring (i55) being only needing 1 Rose Gold Nugget. So you practically get back that 1 nugget at 100% rate.... completely recycled all mats (except catalyst).
